Understanding the many possible underlying causes or functions of problematic behaviour is a critical step in helping children & youth with ASD change maladaptive behaviour. Effective behaviour analysis, which includes a review of communication, sensory, anxiety and other possible causes, will be discussed and positive behavior support (PBS) techniques will be presented.
