COMPASS Services

The COMPASS program works with children and youth (ages 4-18 years) who are students of the York Region District School Board or York Catholic District School Board by providing regular and consistent counselling.
This service supports by:

Facilitating learning, knowledge exchange and building the capacity of all relevant parties to respond effectively to mental health challenges and related concerns.

Enhancing access to children’s mental health supports and services where and when they are needed.

Providing individual and/or family counselling and case management services.

Helping families to develop linkages to available community services, and other supportive resources.

How do I access the service?

Referrals are made to the program by York Region District School Board or York Catholic District School Board staff. The child/youth must present with mental health challenges in school, at home or in the community.
