Therapeutic Live In Care

The York Hills Therapeutic Live in Care program works with children between the ages of 6 to 12 years whose primary residence is in York Region.

Children referred to the program have challenging mental health needs. The therapeutic live in care program operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All referrals to the therapeutic live in care program are made to the York Region Centralized Intake Committee (YRCI) which performs the screening function. These referrals are made by professionals directly supporting the family in other services.

This service supports by:

Assisting families and children to build effective ways of coping in their home, community and school.

Providing individual counselling, group work, family therapy, advocacy and case coordination support.
