Why does my child have “they/them” in their Instagram bio? What do I do if my daughter tells me she is pansexual? My son wants to wear dresses to school, does that mean he wants to be a woman?
Gender, sexuality, and identity are topics that seem more spotlighted than ever. Terminology is constantly evolving, and kids are more able to explore and express themselves at younger ages. How can parents and caregivers provide supportive spaces for their children to navigate these complex and sometimes challenging things? Join facilitators with lived experiences as members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community to learn some basic terminology about gender identity and sexual orientation, how to facilitate age-appropriate conversations with your kids that send messages of love for whoever they are, and how to support yourselves and your family on this journey.
